If you tried to install H&R Block 2011 (formerly TaxCut) on your windows machine you may have been greeted by a useless error message that says the install failed. To get around this problem, in windows explorer, click on the D: (or wherever your CD/DVD is) and then right click on the .exe file and select “Run as administrator” This solution was next to impossible to find on the Google, so I am hoping this helps someone!
